Danimal Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 My wife and I are were hoping to get up to the White/Norfork along with my brother and his family this weekend. My wife and I flyfish but my brothers crew will be spinfishing. We're planning on camping (Cotter campground maybe). We don't have riverboats but do have canoes and if the water is low were thinking of floating from Wildcat to Cotter or Cotter to Rim. My question for all you guys in the know is what are the chances for some low water on the white (or Norfork) this weekend? We're not dead-set on floating but would at least like to have some windows of wadable water. I'd also like to hear some advice on places to camp. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Ham Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 I'd camp at Quarry Park. There has been decent chances to wade fish on the Norfork lately, but with rain predicted who knows what the generation pattern will be. IF and I say again IF, there is minimal generation, your canoe idea is a good one. Both of those floats would be very do-able and should give you lots of chances at fish. Thousands of trout will be caught on the white and Norfork this weekend regardless of weather or water generation. Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish
