I haven't seen any updates on the news. Without knowing the details it's hard to comment. I hope it's not a case of not wearing the PFD. Whenever the motor is on I make sure everyone has their vest on. Any child on board always has their's on.

Prayers up.

I was fishing a tournament Saturday and Sunday. The lake was very rough. Talked to a ranger yesterday and they found the life vests next to/inside the capsized boat. Sunday was very rough as well so searching by water was very tough. I did see the helicopter searching but as far as I know they didn't find either of them yet.

I would like to say thanks to Mike Webb and the humminbird rep, troy, for taking the time to drive up here and help us all search for this kid and his dad. It was a very long day for all of us, but to take the time to drive 2 hours to help someone you don't know takes alot of character. Both of these guys came up here on their own and spent the better part of the day searching.

Thanks for the help guys, it's great to know that we have friends like you just south of us.

and just for a quick update, as of 1230 am today, they had not been located. Keep praying that both the dad and the son are able to be recovered so their wife/mom can get some peace. I can't even imagine what this would be like.

Bob,

Thanks to you also. This is a testament to what I alluded to awhile back....we are sportsmen. With that comes a certain brotherhood. Whether it be a love of fishing, hunting or life in general. A quick wave on the water or maybe a handshake at the dock. We are in this together and sometimes that means the duties we perform may not be all that pleasant but we would want someone to have our back covered regardless.

Thanks to all who serve their fellow man.

I too hope they are recovered. Stockton for me has always produced the worst weather and biggest waves of any lake that I have ever fished in this area. Been in some bad ones up there on more than one occasion. A good friend of mine, ( Billy Jones) died up there helping a lost boater get back in after dark. He died in Ruark cove. Just think about him as you idle out past the idle bouys and remember to be safe out there and know the limitations of your boat and your knowlage.

I too would like to praise Bob and all the people like him that search for those two people. May God bless you and may God comfort the family who have been touched by this tragedy. May God guide them in finding these two.

Please remember to wear you lifejackets when boating on the lake. I would never want to hear of a OAF member (or anyone else) drowning while fishing. You are all my freinds.
