Members HYDE Posted April 27, 2010 Members Posted April 27, 2010 That's kinda what I was thinking, but wanting to stay away from the consiracy theories. Either way Sad story for sure. We should all still definetly keep the mother in our prayers and on the prayer list at our churches. So does anyone know if they cancelled the search or not? DONT KNOW if they have called off the search but i've been in around that part of the lake the last couple of days and i havent seen any search and resuce boats. as a matter of fact i seen one the WP search boats going east thru willard about two fridays ago.
Predator1 Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 Best thing to do now is just keep an eye out for something...maybe a piece of clothing...shoe...anything that catches your eye........and most of all keep them and their families in your prayers.
Predator1 Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 That is a terrible thing in deed. In most of the lakes in the Southern states, You get a ticket if you do not have your life vest on while youR vessel is in motion. I wish Missouri would pass a mandatory law that everyone on a boat with motor and in motion must all be wearing a life vest. More lives would indeed be saved. I know you can not put a price on a life. But I wish the manufacturers would drop the price on the automatic inflatable vest. They are not so bulky to wear during your whole fishing trip. More people would invest in these vest if they were more affordable. Just a few thoughts Good night everyone and Boat Safe.
straw hat Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 I thought that there was a state law reguiring a PFD if your boat was under power. I looked back to flysmallies entry on regs on page two but didnt see it mentioned. Am I just confused? I know that since the unfortunate incident that neither the wife nor I have seen ANYONE wearing a life jacket. Sad.
Predator1 Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 I just spoke to Jason Dicky(Conservation Agent in Bolivar). Children who are 7 Years of age and under must wear A life vest at all times when in the boat. Everyone else must have a life vest with in their own reach while in boat. I think the State of Missouri needs to pass a new law for life vest. Everyone must wear their life vest while their vessel is in motion. Wet bike folks wear them while they are in motion.

BolivarBasser Posted May 13, 2010 Author Posted May 13, 2010 That's great. They should be finding the son anytime. The water patrol/search teams have been awesome.
