jah Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 KSBass- I sent you a PM, but it's my first time ever doing that so I'm not sure if you got it. I'm interested in trying the furled leader, and I'll pay for them (no need to give one free to me since the cause is a good one). If you check your email, you should have my address and my questions. Just let me know how to pay....thanks!! Jim
DaddyO Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 Wow! Great information! Thanks, DaddyO We all make decisions; but, in the end, our decisions make us.
fishinwrench Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 Wrench, You too. I've got a furled leader breed without the twist. It floats very good and is very strong. We call it the stealth spider. I originally developed it for bass and carp in heavy timber on a 7-wt rig. We can make one in just about any weight. We scaled it down for a guy in Jeff City as a 3' - 2/3-wt. and it's now one of our best sellers. We also can use a micro swivel instead of the tippet ring if twisting is a concern. Cool bro, If you have figured out a design that doesn't roll when you stretch them I'm all over it ! I had a 10ft. board made up with various peg placement options and I worked with it for a long time, but I could never figure out how to counter that tension twisting in the finished product. I Thought I had tried everything possible. I definately want to check yours out, specifically one for clousers and bass bugs on a 7wt. that I could attach 2-3ft. of 3x-4x tippet.
