<p>

A perfect morning on Taneycomo. Water running less than one unit. Barely got up above rebar to the cable but did better well downstream below Lookout this time. Numerous rainbows over 15 inches up to 19. Four browns total this morning. All on jigs - mostly white but some on sculpin.

Enjoy the video.

Guys went back out this afternoon and said the fishing was better than this morning. It's hard to believe.

This is a pretty serious statement from me cause I don't say this lightly - I chose my timing carefully cause I don't want to be saying the same thing every six months or annually.

So here goes-

This is the best trout fishing I've ever seen on Lake Taneycomo in my 27 years of being here.

Size, number, fight, quality, color.

And browns to boot.

And it's not just up within the first mile of the lake. It's not even just in the trophy area.

We caught quality trout all the way down to Short Creek this morning in jigs.

Today the guys boated 8 browns all over 16 inches up to over 20.

Generation - the flow is absolutely perfect for throwing jigs - straight line. 30 mw - less than one unit.

Here's the largest brown Brent caught this afternoon.

WOW!

Going to go out to my son's and pick up the Gator tomorrow, and head down Tuesday right after my Doc appt.

KEEP 'EM BITING FOR ME!!!

After the back surgery in February, then 8 days in the Hospital with blood clots in both lungs a couple weeks ago, I really need this!

This, I guess, backs up my statement.

Craig Viscardis, Curtis's son. White jig below Lookout. First fish of the morning.

Didn't measure but I'd say 24-25 inches and 8 pounds. Took him 20 minutes to land. Kept in livewell for 30 minutes to make sure she was good to release. Video of landing it and release coming your way.

What a fishery!!!

Wow. Awesome report. I will be at your place for a week in May! Or maybe sooner...

The only good line is a tight line

Do you drift with the jigs on a tight line bouncing the bottom?

Tight line, work them off the bottom. I have a couple of articles and a video showing how I do it.
