Yeah, I figured the smell was from the neoprene. I've had a pair of wading booties that smelled like that. Don't think that'll get in the way of catching fish.

On Thursday 12-30 I got home from work….opened the mailbox….and there it was. The new reel from Justin. I have to say…it is a nice reel. From just holding it in my hand…the reel is very smooth and the drag steps down nicely and is very smooth as well. I can’t wait to get some line on it and give it a try. I got my OAF reel special on 12-30 also. Reel, hooks, fly boxes. Nice quality on all of it. The trout 5-7 looks perfect for my 6wt line.

I'm still patiently waiting on my 5/6 Alpha and hook offer, but the drag cap was not up to Justin's exacting standards which explains the delay. Patience may be a virtue, but not when waiting for a fly reel.
