Just wanted to start a Night Fishing topic. Wondered if anyone had been going.

I havent been doing wonderful, dang moss makes it difficult. But have been catching some fish around the kimberling area. Spinnerbaits and some texas rigs in areas where they work. Most fish coming from 8 to 16 foot.

Anyone else been out much?

We were down last week and fished the KC area. Had to keep the boat in about 20 foot of water, as my partner couldn't keep his line out of the moss.

Throwing the blade and 4-5" grubs. We did all right, but nothing wonderful. The bite doesn't seem to be where it has been the past few years this time of the year.

Been doing pretty good on Black and blue jigs with trailors as well as dark colored chompers. The bite seems to go away right around dark and then picks back up again around 10:30pm or so. Hope this helps!

Report. Didnt do very hot friday night. Seemed to just hit anything if you find the fish, but couldnt find the fish. Jig, craw, spinnerbait. Had a lot of hits on the spinner but most just tagged it hard and gone, figured it to be nesters and not eaters.

Sounds like our night last Friday as well. What bites I was getting on the jig were so light it was hard to get a good hook set... Missed about 3 quality fish due to it!

I use War Eagle Black and red spinners in couple sizes, seem to work great for me. Caught several smallies on it last night.

I use a black with blue flakes with a hammered blade seems to work for me. Jason glad to hear they are taking the spinnerbait at night one of my favorite baits at night.

Hey, i used to do a lot of night fishing a few years ago but not so much the last 2-3 years. I always used jigs and texas rigged worms and did ok. I used to try a dark single colorado spinnerbait based upon what i read in magazines and whatnot but would not really give it all that much of a chance and didnt really know how to work it. So with you guys saying that you have success using spinners at night i'd like to give it another try, how are you using them? Slow rolling? Also what kind of locations? Docks? Pea Gravel? Better during full moon or no moon? How bout during the summer time?
