I found a Sage Launch 4 pc 7wt for $185 and would like to know some opinions. I got rid of my 8 wt because it felt to heavy in most situations however sometimes a 6wt is a little bit light for huge flies so I thought a moderate 7 weight would be a good compromise (then later get a 6 wt and 8wt). Any experiences or opinions on this rod?

I looked at a TFO Pro also but want to own at least a couple of completely American made rigs. I have a TFO 5 wt that I do like however.

Sage replaced the Launch with the Vantage this year. That rod goes for $255. They are nice rods for sure. Seven wt rods are a good size to go with for night fishing for large browns or smallmouth fishing where the bigger ones are. It will cast heavier flies needed for that. TFO Pro is a good rod as well. $160 new with a lifetime warranty, but no rod tube.

Make sure they have the tube and sock with the rod and see if they registered the warranty with Sage. Might not be a problem, but could be...
