How is the moss on the lake bottom? Haven't been on the lake for a couple of weeks now. Just wondering if it has gotten any better or worse. Interested in the Kimberling City area. Thanks.

It has been about a week and a half since I have been below the Shell Knob bridge, but at that time there was still quite a bit of moss in the Campbell Point area. Would assume it is about the same in the KC area...

Actually where I fished last week its breaking up. Bottom 90% clean around point 5 and such. Trees are still covered deep, roll through one and you have a huge ball.

Ok, we couldn't quite get an answer on what causes it, does anyone know what makes it break up? Water coming in / thru? Temp?

I've been fishing in the Kimberling City area lately, and the main lake points and banks seem clear but the bottom's mossy back in the coves. I'm guessing maybe the stuff grows best where it's sheltered and there's little water circulation.

Yup, just got back home from fishing the KC area this morning. Was down for 3 days. Moss was really not an issue. If you got some moss, cast 10-20 feet away, and it's typically gone. No big deal at all. ;) Looks like it's REALLY breaking up from what it was last month! ......ugh!

Was down at TR a few weeks ago and if your looking for little or no moss head up lake in the Cape Fair area. Its a drive, but if your wanting to drag we didnt have one issue up in that area.
