Greg Posted June 9, 2006 Posted June 9, 2006 William this is probably redundant but I would like to echo the sentiments of some of the others. I've never met you but from your posts you seem like a real gentleman and very knowledgable about the sport and my favorite place to fish. It would be a real loss to me to not have your insights and reports on this forum. I for one appreciated your info regarding the micro jigs. I've never used one but plan to give them a try at the next opportunity. I don't feel you crossed any real or imaginary "line". This mediocre fly fisherman hopes you keep posting. Snow Fly Posted June 10, 2006 Posted June 10, 2006 I agree with Greg and I to look forward to the post on this site. I check it in the morning and before I go to bed. I also agree with Michael, it would be nice to have a get together and have a chance to visit with others from this site. You would not believe what I have learned from everyone by reading these post. Thanks to all that participate! "God gave fishermen expectancy, so they would never tire of throwing out a line"
loo10 Posted June 12, 2006 Posted June 12, 2006 Forum Fishermen - PLEASE READ. I have been away from the computer for several days following the death of my Grandmother. I just returned and apparently I created a firestorm. Let me set the record straight. I did not intend to offend or disrespect Bill Babler. We met years ago when we was working the Sportsman's Show in KC and I discussed floating the Kasmir River with him. I have nothing but respect for him. his integrity, and his abilities. I was teasing! That's all. I meant no more disrespect to him by calling him "Billy", than my friends do when they call me "Richie". If I offended, please accept my public apology. It was NOT intentional. I also said, you must be getting an eighth of a penny off of every micro jig sold. Again, I was joking. Unfortunately, you could not know that from an email. Anyone who knows me, would know it is not in my character to do such a thing. I love to joke and tease. I give as well as get a load of crapola from friends. I have been accused of making money on countdown rapalas by my friends as I love to fish them at night and I'm always telling them to buy some. So, to Bill, please accept my apologies for rubbing you the wrong way. To those of you who know me..... should you have been so quick to assume the worst? To the rest of you, from your comments, I am sure Bill has a new understanding of his value to this Forum. I wish you all the best of luck in your fishing adventures. -loo10 Rich Looten Springfield, Missouri "If people don't occasionally walk away from you shaking their heads, you're doing something wrong."- John Gierach

Members sasquatchmike Posted June 14, 2006 Members Posted June 14, 2006 Mr. Babler, I enjoy your fishing reports immensely. I don't get to fish much at Taney so reading your reports gives me a good feeling that someone is fishing and they are catching fish. Please never stop adding your excursions to this forum.
