Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted May 29, 2010 Root Admin Posted May 29, 2010 Some say 55 and most say 60. I was a little low. 42 is cold but I don't think it's affecting our trout. Fight hard and feeding well.
jdmidwest Posted May 29, 2010 Posted May 29, 2010 Trout can stand colder water, anything above 65 to 70 and they stop feeding and are more prone to disease. Most hatcheries are fed on spring water which is about 55 degrees on average. "Life has become immeasurably better since I have been forced to stop taking it seriously." — Hunter S. Thompson
