ollie Posted June 27, 2010 Author Posted June 27, 2010 Man, that just sucked. I might have to take off work after that showing. Cry myself to sleep that is. KCRIVERRAT Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 Yep, it sucked all right. Altidore being our striker never scored a goal the whole tournament. The defensive line fell asleep and did not converse at critical times. Bradley should've scored yesterday but, although he had plenty of time, never looked up to see where the keeper was. Lots of shots on goal, but not quality shots. I question Coach Bradley's starting lineup also. Still... I think the USA has made progress in that the nation cares more about the sport of soccer. Hope Landon can make one more world cup! HUMAN RELATIONS MANAGER @ OZARK FISHING EXPEDITIONS
Coldspring Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 Tried to watch some of it, too slow paced for me. I think Americans like sports that have scoring once in a while. Hope it catches on more,,,if it will keep more people glued to the TV (along with their baseball, football, basketball, hockey, nascar, etc..) instead of fishing.
Guest P. owensby Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 Soccer is a great game but Soccer's worst enemy is Soccer itself. The diving, poor officiating, and in particular, the offside rule in the way it is called as oppossed to Hockey's offside rule has to be addressed. If FIFA, did something about this and other rules to promote more flow and offense in the game much in the way the NHL did after the lockout in 2005, it would have a much better product...
ollie Posted June 29, 2010 Author Posted June 29, 2010 In my opinion the game to be watching coming up will be the Netherlands vs. Brazil. Either one of those teams could take it all this time around. Too bad they aren't facing each other in the final. Now only if the refs could pull their heads out and call a good game. ollie Posted July 4, 2010 Author Posted July 4, 2010 Outstanding games today!! Germany is looking tough to beat. They look hungry and they looked like a TEAM. ollie Posted July 12, 2010 Author Posted July 12, 2010 There you go and it was Spain taking it all! Good game even though I thought there were too many yellow cards given out.
