TroutFearMe Posted June 8, 2010 Posted June 8, 2010 I was out fishing last night on the creek that connects Simpson Park and the Meramec river, I know that there are signs posted on the north side of the bridge declaring that that is a park boundry but there isn't any on the south side of the bridge, so I thought I was in the right to fish there but I guesse I was wrong because i got a ticket for trespassing. Anyone else have this prblem, and if so what kind of fine am I looking at for something like this.
Members TroutRabbithunter Posted June 8, 2010 Members Posted June 8, 2010 I see people fishing all of the time on both sides. No one ever got a ticket. As far as I know that is all county parks property from the spillway to the Meramec. I could be wrong. Who gave you the ticket? (county park ranger, police officer, conservation agent etc.)
TroutFearMe Posted June 8, 2010 Author Posted June 8, 2010 I was a park ranger that issued the ticket, I found a topo map for the park boundries I was was in the wrong for fishing there at night after park hours so I guess now I just wait to see what my fine is.
snagged in outlet 3 Posted June 8, 2010 Posted June 8, 2010 Bummer about the ticket. How was the fishing? Snagged
Members Shores Posted June 8, 2010 Members Posted June 8, 2010 Had a friend get a ticket for putting a canoe on a lake that was private property but he had been fishing it for 8 years. Cost him $70. Good luck.
