fox_76 Posted June 9, 2006 Posted June 9, 2006 hello to all, i'm a avid fisherman who usually fishes private ponds, which a couple of days ago yeilded me a ten pound largemouth a little over 25 inches, but more serious about night time fishing good ole lake stockon for cats and carp, any good bait recipes for either of these fish? I didn't go to college,... I was too busy learning stuff. --Ted Nugent
MoCarp Posted June 9, 2006 Posted June 9, 2006 I fish Stockton all the time, very nice cats, carp run a bit small. at least the ones I am catching dough balls made of wheatees and cream corn work great on channels and carp--for mor cats ad a table spoon of shrimp powder from a mexican food store, cats freak out on it just chum 3 days before with hog feed pellets for cats, rabbit pellets for carp shoot a Pm sometime and tag along with me and the fellas at Stockton Mo MONKEYS? what monkeys?
fox_76 Posted June 9, 2006 Author Posted June 9, 2006 thanks for the tip on the bait, and i'd love to tag along sometime. for lager carp have you tried up around the highpoint area near aldrich, some pretty good ones there 15 pounds plus, those are my old stomping grounds and used to hook into some really big ones. also have caught some larger than that up at caplinger mills right about the time that the water starts rising after they turn the water loose at the dam. also not bad crappie and cats there at the right times, I didn't go to college,... I was too busy learning stuff. --Ted Nugent
