Members kcbear Posted June 14, 2010 Members Posted June 14, 2010 I have been looking at some Texas fishing reports (mostly Lake Fork)and they keep talking about using "Yellow Magic" top water baits. Anybody know what they are talking about? Anybody got a picture you can post? I love top water fishing (caught 14 Saturday morning on a black buzz bait at LeCynge, before the storms hit)and have all kinds of poppers, chugs, buzz, spooks, frogs, dogs, and hogs, but I never heard of a "Yellow Magic". Members kcbear Posted June 14, 2010 Author Members Posted June 14, 2010 Thanks, Chris-- After I posted, I added "fishing lures" to my google of "Yellow Magic". Up they came. I hope they are really good cause the ones I saw were $14-16.00 each!! Thanks, again. KCBEAR
zarraspook Posted June 15, 2010 Posted June 15, 2010 I sent a message to an old Air Force buddy that runs Lake Fork Tackle (@ Lake Fork).... This is his reply...... "They are a Japanese version of the Pop R. However, it will out-perform the Pop R 4/5 to one. I have personally been a victim. They are expensive $ 15.00 and $ 16.00 respectively for 1/4 and 1/2 oz models. Anyone that has used one will tell you they are absolutely the very best. Japanese Shad and and other of the shad colors are the best (at least they are our best sellers). Each lure supposedly has 13 different people that have a hands- on during the production process of these baits. I've been told that even the two hooks are placed on lure by different workers." So @ $15 that is about a dollar apiece for each person working on the lure ?????? "Look up OPTIMIST in the dictionary - there is a picture of a fishing boat being launched"

Ham Posted June 16, 2010 Posted June 16, 2010 I've got one new in the package that I'll mail to your door for $12 bucks. I'll never get around to fishing it so I might as well get what I can back out of it. Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish
