smallmouthjoe
Hello everyone, I'm looking for an outfitter who shuttles around the Tyler Bend area of the river and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions. I was going on a trip with a friend and we were going to do all the shuttling our selves but he has canceled and now I need to find an outfitter. Thank you in advance for any information. Zack Hoyt
Bobber works for Buffalo River Canoes(www.floatthebuffalo.com). Might drop him a pm and ask about them doing a shuttle. Zack Hoyt OAF Contributor Flies, Lies, and Other Diversions
flytyer57
Here's a link to the USGS website for the Buffalo River near St. Joe. There you will find links to about 6 diffeerent outfitters serving the Buffalo. There's a fine line between fishing and sitting there looking stupid. bobber
we only go down to woolum.. (unless it's a 3 or 4 day trip).. thats the end for the upper district .. but silver hills or gilbert store can hook you up....but don't try to pay anyone on the park land, at a take out. or put in. it's a no no!! and is looked down as a bad thing.plus it's aganist outfitter permit rules. <*)))))))>< * AMERICAN CANOE ASSOCIATION CERTIFIED CANOE, and SWIFT WATER RESCUE INSTRUCTOR.*
gotmuddy
Use silver hill. I would stay away from gilbert store. We had a bad experience with the owner and decided no one in our group would EVER give her another penny. everything in this post is purely opinion and is said to annoy you. smallmouthjoe
Thanks for the suggestions guys. I'm disappointed that our place doesn't go down that far bobber, I would like to meet and thank you personally for all the help you've given me concerning this river. I'll call the folks at silver hill tomorrow. Thanks again, and take care.
KCRIVERRAT
Use silver hill. I would stay away from gilbert store. We had a bad experience with the owner and decided no one in our group would EVER give her another penny. I had a problem there too. Will not be needing her services anymore. darbwa
We used Silver Hill last year and were very happy with them. I would love to get on the river ealier in the season so we could go farther up river. I would certainly love to use Buffalo River Canoes. All the info Bobber gives to this forum is great incentive to use BRC.
