On The Fly 6 Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 What are the requirements for operating a boat in Arkansas? Based on what ive seen, I need a boating license/permit. Is there a way to get a temporary one? Any information would be helpful! Walleyedmike Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 I don't live in, or boat in Arkansas, but it looks like you may need a permit, depending on your age. Here's a link to what I found. http://www.boat-ed.com/ar/ar_laws.htm Good Luck, WM
jdmidwest Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 I think it is age dependent on most waters in most states to operate a motorized boat nowadays. Check individual states water patrol website or Dept of Revenue that licenses the boats. I am old enough to be grandfathered in for most places, so I have not worried about it. rps Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 I am so old they do not expect me to know squat about what I am doing. Remember Sierra Madre: "Badges? We don't need no stinking badges!"
