I was fishing campers point last Friday around dusk when a dad and three or four of his kids showed up and set up camp. I went by Saturday a.m. and noticed some trash by the water but didn't pay much attention as the same campers were still there and I figured they would clean up.By Sunday 10:00 a.m the camp site was vacant and it looked like a bomb had gone off for all the litter on the bank and much of it right next to the water. I fished the point for about 20 minutes until I got so mad I pulled my boat up on the shore and started picking up garbage. By the time I was done I had spent 45 minutes, and had four full trash bags in the floor of my boat, full of this guys dirty dypers, cans, paper plates, and general refuse. To top it off, this S.O.B. threw three more full bags of trash in the thickest patch of poision ivy that could be found at about the 930' ele. And if this was not enought, I have no keelguard, and I have three huge gouges on my Ranger to show for my efforts. The most disturbing thing about this is this A..HOLE was with kids--- What values is he passing on?

Bluffboy.

Sorry to hear about the boat. Applaude you effort. Wish you had got the guys boat numbers or something. As always, the actions of a very few hurt all the rest of us.

How in the hell do you generate that much trash in less than 2 days? My family of 4 doesn't generate that much in 2 weeks!

I too applaud your efforts... Throwing a cigarette butt or a candy wrapper is one thing, but this is pure apathy and ignorance gone to seed... Someone needs to find this guy and have him clean up the entire Table Rock shoreline... Then the rest of the White River system. What a jerk!

Diapers? You've GOT to be kidding me... I hope you had rubber gloves... I would have to have a full HazMat suit and 10 ft tongs to have cleaned up that mess.

That's really great that you repaired/cleaned the area. Campgrounds and public use areas suffer from human shortcomings. Your efforts helped compensate a bit. Thanks from me up here in Kansas.

I am groundskeeper at my local lake marina. One of my duties is to pick up litter first thing in the morning. We have several conveniently located dumpsters but it makes no difference. It is shocking and really hard to see it let alone believe it.

Bluff Boy... where is Camper's Point? Did they come in by boat or did they drive in? The pop's a loser anyhow!

You deserve an atta-boy! What a great example of being a good steward of your resources. Thanks.

Bb,when you are ready to get that Ranger fixed, give me a call and we at the forum, that wish to, will chip-in and get her done for you. I have a guy that will fix it back to fantastic condition.

We are, are brothers keepers, and you demonstrated that. It's our turn now. Let me know when and how we can help, and we all thank and appreciate your efforts.

Sincerely, Bill

BP post made me feel ashamed of myself. On a recent trip I saw a small amount of trash floating next to shore. Thought about picking it up, then apathy set in.

I will start the pledge drive; $10.
