Gatorjet Posted July 9, 2010 Posted July 9, 2010 I'll be fish'n fri.&sat. My 1st time in a boat on taney.I'm going to hope I run the river ok, any pointers on areas to fish and stay'n out of everyones way? Search around on this forum for the fishing reports. Where will you be boating from? Stay on the bluff, or steepest bank side is pretty much the rule of thumb for boating. At Short Creek to Fall Creek you will encounter a lot of boats fishing, mostly in the channel. Remember the special regulations above Fall Creek. Artificial lures only, no soft plastic lures, no scent on lures, and a 12"-20" protected slot for Rainbow Trout. A little more information on where you will be, and your experience in Trout fishing might help with more information. Good luck, have fun Bob Real men go propless!
Mr. Ed Posted July 12, 2010 Posted July 12, 2010 If people are being thrown around, falling off their seats or even being thrown into the lake, you're probably throwing a big wake. Probably???

Glad you had a good time. It's always good to see people enjoying Taneycomo. I'll be there in two weeks with my daughter and her friend. Probably fish the Trophy area for a some "picture" fish, then down below for a few to keep. Real men go propless!
