Anyone Fished Cardiac Lately

Hey guys I was just checking the river gauge at Steelville and finally the Meramec looks really good for fishing cardiac I was wondering if anyone has fished it in awhile and had any fishing reports.

I've been wating for that news all freakin year. I haven't been but I plan to ASAP...which means I probably won't get a chance until it's too low (seems like a fine line on that river between flooded and too low and hot to get trout to move.)

I wish I wasn't so busy, but get down there and bring back some pictures. Those fish probably haven't seen a fly in about nine months. Could be really good.

Well is sounds like Phelps Coounty just got hammered with rain today, I'm sure the river is on the rise.

My wife and I went down last monday. Started a little late and didn't do very well at all. Got on the water about 11 am, fished the bottom of the hole right at the acc. spot and caught 2 bows, one on Dons crawdad, the other my wife got on a large rooster tail. Walked up stream to the cabin hole, (its not there anymore) and found another 16" there. Thats all we were able to get.

The cabin is being rebuilt a little further downstream due to bank erosion. Workers are present daily so pay attention to the no trespassing signs.

Neither, the landowner is famous for his desire for privacy. There have been several posts about Big John the landowner.

Well I guess I will have to sit back and watch the river gauge go up and down like a yo-yo good thing I wasn't planning to fish cardiac for another week, good to hear the cabin is gone bad to hear it is being built down stream. Do they have Big Johns area clearly marked like they had before I can't afford another trespassing ticket.

I dont know why your saying that about John and Sharen. I fish that part of the stream often and they both are always nice to me. I can only guess that you may have had a run-in there with them or that you belive what someone else told you about them. Then again, I too am a local properity owner as they and sometimes we dont take well to city folks and there actions.I'm not realy sure why one would be tresspassing on there properity anyway. The road goes right down too the field and on out to the river. Its a very good hole right there. The fish are in the water... not in the woods, why would I be in the woods?

Strange, I did a search and didn't find anything on the landowner. Can you point my to one or two posts there Mr. Bluewater
