June 13 report

My trip to Taney got canceled but after seeing the bass Phill has been catching I just had to go somewhere. I was able to sneak away to a 55 acre lake today near my home in St. Charles. The lake is filled with stumps and standups. Didn't get to start till 11AM but the fish were active. Caught 35 to 40 fish in 4 hours during the middle of the day. I was surprised by the success with the change in weather. I think it only got up to 78 or so with a northeast breeze. I would have loved to have gotten out early and I plan to get over there again as soon as I can.
