Went out last Monday, caught 7 Drum from 2 to about 5 pounds. Just knew each one was a walleye. Anyone else catch Drum?

Yes once in a while on a jig but not like on Pom. Sometimes they are all over the place down there.

Anyone eat drum? I've read that they are actually quite good to eat - fillet easily, and are good fried. Anyone tried it? Wife and I are renting a boat from the marina for 4 year anniversary, and we may just keep them if we catch them.

I would put drum in the same category as White Bass. Most likely would be better when the water is cooler. Nice white flakey meat.

I agree with dennis but I would add that they have more bones than white bass.

Conservation agent at Pomme told us to throw them on the bank or knock them in the head...is that true for Stockton as well to help keep population under control?
