Wheatenheimer Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 Well I met up with Chief, Dylan and KCRR today on a secluded stretch of a SW Missouri stream that rhymes with Thing River. We dumped the canoes and gear with Dylan and KC and Chief and I did the shuttling. When we came back Dylan was landing this beauty! I had the joy of sitting in the front of the boat for this trip (which I'm not used to.) Chief was an amazing guide, he put me on so many fish, I should've given him a hefty tip for the excellent job he did today! Enough words, lets get to the photo's! Swim Break! More fish! That one was cool! That giant Bluegill I caught and as I was landing it we notice a Largemouth chasing and pecking away. Chief threw into the action and landed the Largemouth! How cool is that! And now for the fish of the day............... Good job Dylan!!!!!! This kid can outfish anyone I have ever fished with......no kidding! Had a blast today! Thank you Chief, KC and Dylan!
eric1978 Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 That smallmouth Dylan caught was a beauty, and the bluegill you caught, Wheat, was a green sunfish. Another good day for you fellas in SWMO. I'm jealous.
Chief Grey Bear Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 What great day of fun this was. We had lots of swimming and lots of fishing. It had been a long time since I had fished this area but I won't let that happen again. Wheatie done a great job in the front of my canoe. It was a real pleasure to watch him toss into the exact spot that I was thinking of hitting. And it was a fun to watch hid rod bend and then him set the hook on another one. I think this trip was one of his first for the type of fishing we were doing and he caught on very, very, quickly was a like an old pro by the end. Great job again Wheat and let's be sure to do it again. Soon! Good eye eric. That is indeed a black perch. And for a creek, a really nice one. Congrats to Wheatie for that! Also Dylan says thanks for the complitment on his big fish of the day. And don't be jealous, just come on down sometime and I'll take you to some little known waters and put you on some fish. It'll be a hoot.
