Took my brother to the Little Niangua Friday and Saturday. My brother does not get to fish much and has not floated with me for over 10 years. He had a great time. I just gave him a bag of Strike King Bitsy tubes and he caught fish all weekend. We stayed at Cedar Camp. Friday we caught a bunch of fish above Cedar Camp, nothing of size but had a great time catching big numbers, must have got 50 fish.

Saturday we floated below Cedar Camp, did not catch as many for some reason but we caught some bigger fish. It was my brothers first time kayaking, he tipped over in the first 5 seconds he put in, pretty hilarious, but never had a problem again after that. I caught some fish on my flyrod using a "popper and dropper" and caught quite a few on Yum Dingers fishing wacky style.

Took him to the Little Niangua because he could not take off more time for work during the week and I knew the Little Niangua was about the only place to float on the weekend without a lot of canoe traffic.

Im taking my two boys and nephew and father to the Elk this Wednesday. My dad is not a big fisherman either so I hope I can get him on some fish too. \

Cool underwater shot. What kind of line are you using in that pic ? I have never been able to see the line (P-Line flouroclear and CX) in any of my underwater pics. It may just be the angle of the light source though as most of my UW shots have been taken later in the afternoon.

FWIW I have always had the same experience on the stretch just below Cedar camp, Beautiful water but something seems "wrong" with it.

In the underwater pic I just had 8 pound trilene lowvis green tied to my fly.
