woodman Posted August 17, 2010 Author Posted August 17, 2010 Did the glass with left over epoxy resin and 6oz. cloth. This is the first time to do this without help. With my first boat a friend did it I just mixed the polyester resin on that one. http://s147.photobucket.com/albums/r302/scrawford_photos/
Wheatenheimer Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 Lookin' good! Thanks for keeping us up to date. When complete, we'll need to see some photo's of it's maiden voyage!
Trout Commander Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 Looking good looking good! I have spent most of my money on fly fishing and beer. The rest I just wasted. The latest Trout Commander blog post: Niangua River Six Pack

woodman Posted August 25, 2010 Author Posted August 25, 2010 The darn boat is weighing more than I thought, it is at 65lbs. according to the bath scale I roll it up on. Olé well it is a tandem and build and learn...... The wood comes alive when a clear finish is sprayed on. The fog from spraying wasent,That Bad, as the flash apeared to pick up on. Have you guys seen this sweet looking boat??? http://www.blueheronkayak.com/ I am trying to make seats now (wood ones).... http://s147.photobucket.com/albums/r302/scrawford_photos/

For a wooden tandem I don't think 65 lbs. is too much. My solo sot plastic cheapie probably weighs 40. As for the yak in your link, that kinda reminds me of the old Adirondack boats. There's a fine line between fishing and sitting there looking stupid.
ColdWaterFshr Posted August 25, 2010 Posted August 25, 2010 Wow. Good looking boat, and built in a little over 2 weeks??
