wily Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 you guys ever float out of there???either inbound or outbound. we were up there tonight messing around...catching crawdads and such. lots of junk in the water but what the heck. i didn't take a pole but from what my boys caught in their nets...i'd say it is teeming with fish. point me in a good direction to try this weekend... thanks
Chief Grey Bear Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 That area doens't get hit a whole lot. There is some really good catfishing there too. I have heard of 20lb+ flatheads coming out of that area. From the mill to Hwy 43 is on my float list this year. I just haven't made it yet. Chief Grey Bear Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 Yep know him well. He does quite a bit of fishing there from what I hear. I haven't talked to him in a while but, my step brother talks and fishes with him and I guess they do really good chasing Redhorse. I have heard of some real hogs coming out of there. Talking to him would be better than paying at the store to launch from the park. I think they still charge don't they?? GloryDaze Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 Chief- if you ever hit that stretch on a weekend, let me know I would love to join you. My mother in law lives right there in Purcell. That would be perfect, drop the wife off to spend the day with her mom and I would get to fish- Follow me on Twitter @DazeGlory

GloryDaze Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 Well, this time of the year I begin working 6 days a week until the end of September. However, that leaves the 7th day to fish, which is normally on a Sunday. As long as I had 2-3 days notice I could make it work most of the time. It's an easier sell since I can keep the wife happy spending all day with mom. Follow me on Twitter @DazeGlory

Buzz Posted August 14, 2010 Posted August 14, 2010 Finally a Sunday float. I'm In. If fishing was easy it would be called catching.
