packersooner Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 Fished mainly for crappie from sunrise until about mid-afternoon. Caught one keeper and a few sub-legals. Tried numerous brushpiles and used jigs, jig/minnow combos, and jigs with crappie nibbles. Looking at Bob's report, I'm either fishing the wrong brush piles or just don't have a clue. I am fishing the same piles that were productive around this time last year. Then switched to walleye for a few hours and did fairly well. Caught 7 total, with two keepers. Caught quite a few big bluegill also. They were all caught trolling slow death rigs. Tried trolling a floating jighead and Gulp leech, but didn't get a thing. Fished around main lake points near the dam in 20-25 fow. Jason
Walleyedmike Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 Glad to hear the walley's are biting. With a little luck, I'll be down this weekend. Were all seven keepers? WM

WM Nah...just two of them. Had two others that were right at 15", but I didn't want to take the chance and threw them back. The others were between 12 and 15". Good luck this weekend. Jason
