laker67 Posted August 24, 2010 Author Posted August 24, 2010 You guys are killing me! How can I be expected to not go crazy while I'm waiting to get down there in Oct if you guys keep posting stuff like this? October??? I feel your pain. By then the fish have been walked on, stomped on, snagged and drug over every rock above rebar. They can reconize, at a glance, every brand of wading shoe on the market. After mid september most are holdover fish and they get tough as nails. Most days they will send you home talking to yourself. But the prospect of seeing, and the thought of catching, one extremely large fish keeps us all coming back for more abuse.
Members AirparkSouth Posted August 25, 2010 Members Posted August 25, 2010 Hey laker, I was one of the long-flies that night - was that great or what?!! Thanks for all the time you spent with me - I learned a lot. You guys are the best part of night fishing the "Perry Como" By far the best story is the one about the lawn chairs! Thanks again and I hope to see you again!

It was a pleasure visiting with you AirparkSouth. I am planning another trip this friday if the schedule is good. It was an exceptionally good night for quality fish. Glad you got into them as well. About a month from now the rest of the night crowd will start showing up on a routine basis. I will introduce you to the ones you haven't met. A great bunch of guys, and some of the best night fishermen that I know. Most of them fish long flys, so that will be right down your alley. Hope to see you on friday.
