troutfiend1985 Posted August 26, 2010 Posted August 26, 2010 Never been able to get down their for a brown run at Taney, but this year I might be able to. I was wondering what the chances were for a brown run this year with the generation being how it was this summer. I would appreciate any info. Thanks HIgh water during generation periods makes it very hard to fish if you are a wading angler. It will not stop the run. Tremendous crowds during low water periods will have the fish on guard and hard to catch legally. Most will be snagged, dragged and bragged about. But again it will not stop the run. Warm water from a flood gate event will stop it dead in its tracks. It will send them scurring back to mid lake untill the following fall. Taneycomo will turn into missouri's largest trout park come late september. Come on down but do not expect to have any elbow room or much in the way of streamside courtesy during that time period.
