Members KS Labman Posted September 9, 2010 Members Posted September 9, 2010 I need some advice from you guys around stockton. I need to take my boat in for service and need to know a place around stockton where I can take my boat and have it worked on. I don't know anything about any of the boat repair shops in the area and need to have some advice on a place I can trust to take my boat to get good and fair work without getting ripped off. any advice will be welcomed thanks
Thunderin Gobbler Posted September 9, 2010 Posted September 9, 2010 The only place I have ever used around the lake is Son Sac Marine (I think that's right). It's on I believe H hwy north of Greenfield, between there and the twin bridges. We took my brother-in-law's boat up there last year for a little motor work and got a pretty good deal and good service. Sorry I don't know any of the others around there.
straw hat Posted September 9, 2010 Posted September 9, 2010 I don't know how close to Springfield you live but I have dealt with Woods and Water Marine (they use to be Center City Marine) for nearly 20 years and I have never had a problem with them, their prices or their work. Good luck.
Dutch Posted September 9, 2010 Posted September 9, 2010 West Side Marine about 2 miles south of Stockton on HWY 39. They are the ones I deal with when in that area. Nice folks at reasonable prices.
Thompson Fishing Guide Service Posted September 9, 2010 Posted September 9, 2010 Son Sac Marine is where I take my boat. Bill Cooper is one of the few certified mechanics you will find around here, and he is very good, very reasonable, and very busy. His number is 417-637-5555.
Members Bill Cooper Posted September 10, 2010 Members Posted September 10, 2010 Thanks for the good reviews everyone. Bill here from Son Sac Marine. KS I would be happy to work you into my schedule. Currently I have 63 boats on the schedule. If you have a minor problem, I might be able to get you in and out pretty quick. Son Sac Marine is located 8 miles north of Greenfield on H Hiway. Our phone # is 417-637-5555 email is sonsacmarine@hotmail.com and website is www.servicehoney.com. To everyone, I will try to monitor the forums in my spare time (which is very limited) and offer up some light technical advice. Repairing the heavy stuff is how I make my living and feed my family. So please understand, when it gets too deep I will be refering you to paid services. I offer online assistance at very reasonable prices and I am available at Son Sac Marine Tues-Sat 9am-5pm year round.
