Chief Grey Bear Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 Reminder: The float will be this Sunday. Anybody else want to join??? Anyone have any questions??? It is time once again for the Ozarks in October Fall Float. Yeah I know, I keep changing the name. But I think I like this one!!!! So here is the scoop; We will all meet at the MDC Lime Kiln access between 8 and 9am. At that time we head for the MDC Allen Bridge access to begin the float. This about a 3-4 hr float. We should finish the float at about 1:00pm. At that point, let the feast begin! Here is a map to the Lime Kiln access: http://extra.mdc.mo.gov/documents/area_brochures/7811map.pdf When looking at the Google map, Lime Kiln access is just north of where you see Collage, Lime Kiln and Elwood Jct.Rd. come to meet. http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&q=neosho+Mo&wrapid=tlif12848191323122&um=1&ie=UTF-8&hq=&hnear=Neosho,+MO&gl=us&ei=HsqUTNnsK4SlngeQk7S4CA&sa=X&oi=geocode_result&ct=title&resnum=1&ved=0CBoQ8gEwAA I have a trailer that will hold as least 6 craft. I will use that to shuttle and if two trips are needed I will do that. The goal is to leave all vehicles at the Lime Kiln access since that is the take out point and those that need to, can leave when needed. The spring trip was by far the largest yet and eveything ran smooth as silk! Lets do it again! I think this year I will make a big pot of chili. So we will need some plastic spoons, bowls and assorted condiments if you like. We will need to know how many will be in your party. On the spring float we had a ton of food and it was all GOOD!!!! Man did we eat like pigs!! Like last time; 1. List your name, screen name is fine. If you used your real name I wouldn't know who you were. 2. List how many will be in your boat. Not county yourself. 3. List what condiment you may bring or if you are bringing the bowls and or spoons. Or anything else you may want to bring to go with the chili. Like last time, I will keep adding to this post as info comes in. So keep an eye on this one for the lastest updates. UPDATE Looks like we may need some spoons??? Fishin'SWMO, you wanna grab those??? Buzz Posted September 19, 2010 Posted September 19, 2010 Buzz= as of right now I have an open spot in the front of my canoe. MarkW your son is welcome to ride with me, and if he can't make it anyone else that needs a place can jump aboard. Undecided on what to bring. If fishing was easy it would be called catching.

drew03cmc Posted September 19, 2010 Posted September 19, 2010 I am a maybe. I would need a seat in a boat and could bring some grub. I will keep posting if I can make it or not. Andy
