hoglaw Posted October 2, 2010 Posted October 2, 2010 I'm going from Snow to Kelly's tomorrow through Sunday. I think it's going to be bumpy, but Jimmy Walker assures me it's floatable. This is the lowest I've ever attempted it for sure. Going to be a beautiful weekend and chilly camping for sure.

It's gonna be a cold overnighter and a lot of dragging. There's a fine line between fishing and sitting there looking stupid.
Members waterback Posted October 2, 2010 Members Posted October 2, 2010 I am thinking about floating it in Oct sometime. After we get some rain. Are there any big log jams along that stretch? I read there was a log jam about 3/4 of a mile down from the old bridge in Pyatt. I was considering Harmon to Pyatt, but I'm afraid of getting caught in a log jam. Thanks If you put in at the hwy 62 bridge your good but yes there is a log jam about a half mile up from 62 coming from the old bridge.
gotmuddy Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 enjoy the float, be prepared to drag. everything in this post is purely opinion and is said to annoy you.
joeD Posted October 7, 2010 Posted October 7, 2010 If I didn't hang up the phone, Jimmy Walker would still be talking.

He followed us down the boat ramp and was talking when we were leaving. Really nice guy though. everything in this post is purely opinion and is said to annoy you.
hoglaw Posted October 16, 2010 Posted October 16, 2010 it was very cold, but very little dragging. I was surprised. The water was low, but very much floatable. It was a fantastic weekend.

Glad to hear ya made it without too much dragging. How was the fishing? There's a fine line between fishing and sitting there looking stupid.
tjulianc Posted October 19, 2010 Author Posted October 19, 2010 Well I think we are going to try to go this coming weekend. If we get the rain in the forecast the river should be on the rise, hopefully just enough. Planning on doing Pyatt to Snow, unless we don't get enough rain.

Not sure of where in NW Arkansas you're at, but here in Mountain Home we didn't get any of that rain they promised. There's a fine line between fishing and sitting there looking stupid.
