The Southern Council Federation of Fly Fishers was this weekend in Mtn. Home Ark. I didn't get to go this year. Any reports? T. Beeson will report I am sure.

I live him and I laways have to work during the FFF and the Sowbug. I kind of like the Sowbug better, but there are always good speakers at both events. I tend to let the out of town guys have the river during those events.

I'd really like to go to next years Sowbug.

Two different events really. If you want concentration on tying flies .... Sowbug. If you want the full Monte ...... Conclave.

I was only there for Saturday but I more than got my moneys worth!

Great Event! Good job Terry!! :goodjob:

The only people that know how much work is involved with events like this are the people that do it.

Attended Saturday and fished today. Very good turn out for the show. Good classes and the XGames were a hoot.

Fished White Hole to Wildcat today. Fishing was a tad slow.

TIGHT LINES, YA'LL

I made a day trip out of it for Saturday. I finally got to meet Harry Boyd and Bob Nunley, and had a great time getting to know them and had Bob autograph a copy of his book, "The Snake Rod" for me. I also spent some marvelous time with my old Memphis friends Dan and John Berry. I saw Monte Stark for the first time in years and had lunch with old friend George Harmeling, whom I had not seen since before I moved to Florida, eight years ago. I also found time to wander thru the exhibits and watch some fly tying. It was just a one day affair for me, but I really enjoyed it. It was the first conclave I had been to in about 20 years or so. Now that I call SW Missouri home, it hopefully won't be my last.

I have a friend, a Jewish carpenter, whom you should get to know. If you do, your life will never be the same.
