duckydoty Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 Water was again generating when we started. It was a little higher than I normally like it but most of the bank between outlet#2 and the last set of steps was still fishable. Fishing started off a little slow picking up a fish every now and then on white and olive non weighted pine squirrel sculpins. Had about 5 rainbows to hand and lost 1 other really nice fish before changing up just a little bit. For all you guys that have gone to Alaska and still have some beads left over....They worked very well last night. Yellow 8 mm beads were definately the ticket. Put several more bows to hand and 2 nice browns all on the bead. Lost another really nice fish on the bead also. I used the chuck and duck method to fish last night. This method has presented great opportunities for fishing at night with the water running. It enables you to cast under the over hanging trees when the water is generating and gets you down to the bottom fast making for a great drift and presentation. This makes outlet fishing completely unneccasary and you will usually have the whole bank to yourself while fishing. Everyone else will be working the outlets like fishing in a barrel.
