mic Posted October 26, 2010 Posted October 26, 2010 Fellow small streamers...if you make fly's please see my post on Buy-Trade-Sell. I'm looking for a replacement to the styrofoam dots that the wild fish attack on Blue Springs. Thanks, Mic
duckydoty Posted October 26, 2010 Posted October 26, 2010 Deer hair bugs would work. Have been using different types of dry flies as indicators for quite some time now with great success. A Little Rain Won't Hurt Them Fish.....They're Already Wet!! Visit my website at.. Ozark Trout Runners

Umpqua makes a fly called the "indicator fly"- looks pretty cool. I've used Wulffs and other big dries too- the only problem is that its obviously harder to change the depth of your dropper if you are really focused on nymphing- but if its a dry-dropper type situation, I love fishing like that. http://www.umpqua.com/p-226-indicator-fly.aspx http://flyinthesouth.com/
Members wackaloo13 Posted October 28, 2010 Members Posted October 28, 2010 Buy the smallest size thingamobobber in the color you want. Attach the float to your line in the normal way. Take a chunk of line and tie a hook to the ring on the float.
flyfishmaster Posted October 28, 2010 Posted October 28, 2010 Wackaloo13, So you just created a new fly. A "Floating Egg". How ingenious! Now how to market this new pattern.... Later, FFM Woo Hoo Fish On!!
