Well, after taking a few days off from Table Rock to hit Stockton with my friends who like to eat Walleye, Whites and Crappie it was nice to be back home and strictly fishing for bass. Fished from 7am until around 2pm and caught them pretty decent...had 20 something mix bag of bass with 7-8 good ones. I mixed it up a little bit this time catching fish on Blade, Wart and Jerkbait plus fished some main lake, secondary and back ends. I had to cover a lot of water and caught keepers in all three areas. I still kept the boat in 15 feet or less but tried some other patterns...blade was still best for me and all my keepers came on it. Took some cell phone pics but again they suck...

Quillback, this is not the slow, winter jerkbait bite. Working a jerkbait fast is a killer tactic from late spring through fall. Wind is the key and clouds help too.

Like Champ said I usually throw floaters and rip them until the water gets below 50...then I switch to the suspending models. I have been catching them off and on since Sept doing that.

I put the little smiley face up there for sarcasm but I guess it didn't work

I was expecting it to be tough today with the sun and North wind but boy was I wrong. I had 4 keepers out of the first cove I hit and then 3 more out of the next...and they were flat crushing the blade today. Fished from 11:30 until 5:30 and had 13 keepers plus another dozen or so shorts. Almost all largemouth but I got on some good spots right before I came home. Only had 1 rod on deck and I downsized my blade today to a 1/2oz with 3/3.5 combo...in Elite Shad color with double silver blades. Caught fish VERY shallow as they were right off the bank today in wind blown pockets with mixed rock...both main lake and creek pockets. I will post some pics shortly

Good ones. Always fun when they smash that blade up shallow. :D
