Justin Spencer Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010 But I like the Chiefs (just not right now) "The problem with a politician’s quote on Facebook is you don’t know whether or not they really said it." –Abraham Lincoln Tales of an Ozark Campground Proprietor Dead Drift Fly Shop

Flysmallie Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010 Cassel is slowly looking better. Bowe still can't catch a ball when he really needs to.
Wayne SW/MO Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010 Cassel is to slow coming around for me, but then again this is his first starting QB job that wasn't by default. I might be wrong in saying his first because I don't know what he did in high school. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
Flysmallie Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010 I don't know what he did in high school. I think he was a cheerleader.
Justin Spencer Posted November 8, 2010 Author Posted November 8, 2010 I think he was a cheerleader He prefers to be called a yell leader. A $62 million yell leader at that. Our receivers don't give him much help but I get tired of watching his passes float high most of the time that he does have an open man. dennis boatman Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 He is what he is...Bowe is a #2 or #3 receiver. Not that much of a Cassel fan either, but if he had a receiver who would catch balls consisently, I am sure his confidence would go way up. Hard to throw with confidence when it's 50/50 if it will be caught if thrown on the money. GO CHIEFS! Ok for a prediction...hate to go this way but I see problems....Denver 30 KC 17. Hope I'm wrong. Chiefs margin for error is so small, just a few mistkes makes them very vulnerable....like the last 2 games...overtime win against a HORRIBLE buffalo team, and the loss at Oakland. Just a few mistakes, turnover or penalty, and they are in trouble. Need a passing game to overcome this....A few years my friends, a few years. A strike indicator is just a bobber...
Justin Spencer Posted November 15, 2010 Author Posted November 15, 2010 Boy you were wrong, but on the bright side Cassel and Bowe look like Rice and Montana against a weak prevent defense! Maybe the passing success will give them some confidence (however false it may be) and we can balance our attack. WE NEED OUR SAFETIES BACK! Quillback Posted November 20, 2010 Posted November 20, 2010 I have Bowe and Cassel on one of my fantasy teams, had to start Cassel last week because my #1 QB was on a bye. Cassel throws 4 td's and has a monster game! And Bowe had a great game too. Unfortunately the Chiefs lost, but my expectations for them are low. Real low..
Buzz Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 I guess I'll say this ( which is what my Cowboy fan buddies have been saying for a long time ) it's a rebuilding year. I know, that sounds like BS, but they are a very young team and will be susceptible to ups and downs. I too am not a great fan of Cassel, but he is probably the best quarterback that KC has had since Gannon, and he was just a back up. Given time, I believe they will be a great team. Also, I really like Todd Haley. This guy has the drive to make them better than they have ever been. GO CHIEFS................. If fishing was easy it would be called catching.
