mhall02 Posted November 9, 2010 Posted November 9, 2010 Called the hotline last week and the C & R lakes were stocked heavily, may give it a try towards the end of the week. Is the water cool enough? Anyone have any luck if they went?
Chris Barclay Posted November 9, 2010 Posted November 9, 2010 I tried Jefferson but caught nothing. A friend caught some though. Chris St. Louis, MOcbarclayflyrods.combreambum.blogspot.com
stlfisher Posted November 9, 2010 Posted November 9, 2010 I have done well at Jefferson Lake in the morning and the late afternoon. Jigs under an indicator have produced the best so far. Stripping at night has been excellent.
Chris Barclay Posted November 9, 2010 Posted November 9, 2010 Thanks for the tips! I'll try that out - maybe this evening. Chris St. Louis, MOcbarclayflyrods.combreambum.blogspot.com
eric1978 Posted November 9, 2010 Posted November 9, 2010 There are no fish at Busch! Well, there are a few, but it's been a little slow for freshly stocked morons it seems. Evenings have been best. Woolies, olive leeches and jigs have been most productive so far for me, and people always catch them on black and yellow jigs. This one was caught on Sunday, and I've heard reports that there are some beasts in there this year, up to 8 pounds or more.
Gavin Posted November 9, 2010 Posted November 9, 2010 I drive by Tilles in the AM on most days...fishing has been slow...Drove by Jefferson yesterday at lunch..Folks were catching fish.
jjtroutbum Posted November 9, 2010 Posted November 9, 2010 Fished Suson for a while this evening. Bounced several small jigs under a float saw one fella have a long fight but lost in the end. I had no bites. Seems the poachers are out as usual. Using bait and keeping trout, somethings never change. Would have called but apparently left Gamethief off the this phone gonna have to dig that number back up. I haven't been to Busch yet, but I have made several visits to a local pond that is very nearby... This one is not open to any fishing (not even C&R fly fishing) until Jan. 1 when it is usually an ice fishing game, but they stock it late October and I enjoy observing trout. I got a chance to watch some really nice fish rising-couldn't tell to what though. It was just about as fun as actually fishing for them.

If fishing was easy it would be called catching.
