Randall Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 Wonder why they didn't post that on the website? Reed is in Lee Summit, Mo, take 50 east from 435 or stateline, whichever is closer, then go south on RA, the last Lee's Summit exit. You'll see the signs for James A. Reed. Stop in at the main building for a map then the two lakes are Coot and Plover. Cute animals taste better.
troutfiend1985 Posted November 29, 2010 Author Posted November 29, 2010 Sorry about the Alex George reference. I read in the paper today the dropped stocking that lake because it is too shallow. So besides the two lakes at James A Reed, there is Lake Chaumiere in the northner part of KC and a new location being stocked is two lakes at the Fountain Bluff Sports Complex in Liberty. I have fished at Alex George before many times and never noticed a problem with survival of the trout. That strikes me as really odd, as I have caught more trout there than at James A. Reed and the bite there always seemed more consistent. I hope this really has to do with survival conditions of the trout, but I'm smelling b.s. Members Matt_MO Posted December 7, 2010 Members Posted December 7, 2010 I have been out a few times so far since they stocked, I have had pretty good luck at Coot late, but not so much at Plover, I talked to a few people out there and they seem to have about the same experience.
