Dave Cook Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 This is our new Thanksgiving Tradition. Trout fishing at Beaver's Bend State Park below Broken Bow Dam on the Lower Mountain Fork River. It's a nice little tailwater and the winter fishing is pretty good down there. A little beyond the Ozark boundaries but it's a nice artifical trout stream. If you want information about it go to http://beaversbendflyshop.com/ website. It's about 180 miles from Dallas and turns out to be a good place to meet family that lives down there. Dave Cook Posted November 30, 2010 Author Posted November 30, 2010 A near perfect weekend. Fished Lost Creek, Evening Hole on Thanksgiving. Caught a couple of nice ones. Fished Spillway Creek Friday and caught my best Oklahoma bow. About 21 inches. We also fished a couple of times down at the Re-reg Dam. Not much fishing pressure down there and turned out to be a good choice. I caught this bow down by the RV camping area. Dave Cook Missouri Trout Fishermen's Association - Kansas City

ollie Posted November 30, 2010 Posted November 30, 2010 I have always wanted to fish that stretch. Every time we went down to the Little Mo I kept telling myself I needed to get over there, but alas I never did. Nice fish by the way! Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted November 30, 2010 Root Admin Posted November 30, 2010 What do you use there? Midges? Flow looks good for stripping flies.
Terry Beeson Posted December 1, 2010 Posted December 1, 2010 Dave... How is the clean up going down there? I know there were lots of limbs, stumps, etc. from the ice storm and flood this summer. I need to get down there soon... Nice pheesh!!!
