straw hat Posted December 2, 2010 Posted December 2, 2010 Went bank fishing this morning on a bluff about two miles from the State marina. Fished 3 hours and only had one hit (52 F). I had put out 6 brush piles on that bluff last winter. Thought it looked like a good spot for winter fishing. The trip today wasn't very encouraging though. I then went and fished the afternoon near twin bridges. Caught about 12 crappie with 3 keepers. All were black crappie at around 25' deep.
Members clf989s Posted December 2, 2010 Members Posted December 2, 2010 I feel your pain. I bank fished yesterday around Orleans Trail and the State Park and didn't even have a bite. Tried spinner, wiggle wart, crank and plastics. Nothing. Hopefully have better luck in the boat this weekend.
