tjulianc Posted December 10, 2010 Posted December 10, 2010 I am planning some trips for this winter, and was thinking about taking one of my canoes down the Norfork, which I have never fished before. I would bring both some spinning tackle, and fly rod. I have both a tandem canoe and solo, so I could take either, but first, is it a good idea to take a canoe down the tail waters? I've read that some have taken kayaks, down at low to no flow, so a solo canoe would be about the same thing, right? Thanks for any help, suggestions.
Ham Posted December 11, 2010 Posted December 11, 2010 If you float pretty soon after they stop running water you'd do OK. I wouldn't want to do it when the water had been OFF for more than 24 hr. I started an hour after they turned off the water and I had to drag some. Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish
