"Get in line. It is now time put up or shut up. One day. One river. He chose the jet, I choose the water. He said he could catch more out of the jet than I could the canoe. If he is a man of his word, we'll see about that. To make it fair, I won't pick any water in my backyard. I will pick one east of the James."

Hey, I never said That I could catch more fish than you.....I meant the person could catch more fish out of a jet boat boat than a canoe in the same water as long as both had access to the same holes.

I'll take Mitch in my boat against any two kayaks straight up. Most combined total weight of five fish wins.

No worries Mitch. I wasn't meaning you but, you are up for this aren't you????

Hardly fair, the second day we can use a canoe too, and top 5 fish weight, I'm not going to put up with you yahoos counting carp, goggle eye, drum, shad and blue gill.

Bass only strict 15 inch limit, top 5 weight each day

Whut you talkin' about...I never count anything but bass. And if the contest is to see what kind of craft produces more fish, rather than how good you guys are, you gotta use the jetboat both places. I'll take the 15 inch limit, but not a five fish limit, since there's more luck involved. I might catch 30 or more over 15 inches while you catch 5 over 15, but you might luck into one monster among your five that'll beat me if I can only count 5 of mine. So, paper tournament, go by length not weight ('cause weight is luck, too, one of us might luck into one that just ate a sucker that weighed a pound), count every fish over 15 you catch.

And I've always been a canoe guy except when the jetboat works better; I'm a pragmatist.

Ha Ha,

I wasn't referring to you about catching the other species (Cricket asked in 1 post if he could weigh in goggle eye). I now you are a fish catching machine so we are in deep doggy poop. But I usually concentrate on big fish, puts us at a disadvantage. Ok, how about top 7? Also we need to have access to an equal number of holes as the canoers

Ha! So, if one guy can catch 30 bass from 15 to 20 inches in a day, and another guy can catch 7 from 15 to 20 inches but his seven average 17.6 inches and the other guy's top seven average 17.5, who is the better angler?

Good question... I know how you fish, I'm just trying to even our chances! If you can catch 30 bass that average 17.5" per day, I'll buy you a Steak dinner at Fleming's which includes a bottle of Opus One. The only true way to evaluate the process, is to have a guy in the canoe with you tracking the progress and then have the same guy sit in your jet boat tracking your progress there.

Smallie sure got quiet all of the sudden. I checked and see he has been here. Maybe he don't feel so cock sure of himself.

In the 70's it was global cooling that was going to kill us all. Another Ice age they said. Now the earth is warming because of the industrialized countries, so we all have to give up our way of life. The earth itself has put more carbon, and pollutants in the atmosphere through volcanoes, and naturally occurring forest fires than man ever has, or ever will. It's all political agenda!!!

I'd like to put my large carbon footprint right up Al Gore's behind!!!

Anyone ever notice how those on the Faux news side of this always blame Al Gore for global warming?

There's a fine line between fishing and sitting there looking stupid.
