A few months ago, there was a thread going and we had dug up some old photo's of the Kimberling Bridge while the lake was filling. I, for the life of me, can't find that thread, but I found an old newspaper photo from Nov. 1956. The big concrete piers are there, but no steel yet above....This may be a photo already seen on the forum, but I'm not sure. I'll try an attach this old front page photo (not very good quality) since there is not tons of fishing going on recently....lol...

I hope the quality is not so bad you can't see it...

Interesting post Marty, thanks.

Being older than most here, I remember riding across the old bridge with my folks and seeing those columns under construction. I also remember us having a family picnic where the fish hatchery is now while Tablerock Dam was being built. I've got some pictures that were taken that day somewhere, and if I ever run across them again I'll post them here.

These might be old pix to some, but I still they're pretty cool!

And I have no affiliation to the site; just some neat pix.

Here are some pics I got today of the bridge. I just got the graph, so they may not be as good as some of the others.

MartyW - Those are great side-scan pictures. Interesting. The old bridge looks pretty mangled, with a lot of it down - I guess that's to be expected after 50+ years underwater.

What do you think those dense clouds are at 80-90 feet? I always scope a lot of fish around there at that depth, but I don't know what they are. Schools of shad? White bass?
