Not much difference in the old ones and new ones, in my opinion, though the new ones seem to be a little less durable. Whack 'em against the side of the boat and they tend to split in half!

It's all about confidence, in my opinion. For instance, I prefer the somewhat newer ones that have clear bills. Those two phantom crawdad colors, with clear bills with just a bit of orange on the edge, really look good to me, but I also have a real hangup with orange bellies on crankbaits--I hate them. So when I get one of the phantom ones with orange belly, I immediately take a Dremel tool and grind off all the orange.

Different crankbaits have different characteristics. The Wart is nearly unique in the wide, slightly erratic wobble, which is what I think makes it effective. But that isn't always what the fish want.

One of the biggest difference in the old vs. new is the colors. Not saying they wont catch fish but some of the new colors look awful. I'm not talking about new realease colors but new versions of the old colors. Some are the same and some are different (ugly)...

Painted these recently

I think you are going to have to repaint them...the bass are gonna rub the paint right off of them! Great looking baits. Paintbrush or spray gun?

My biggest largemouth of the year was caught on one of the new Wiggle warts (24 inches ~7lbs), I haven't noticed a difference between old vs. new other than colors.

Air brushed the base coat and hand painted the crawdad shell with a calligraphy pen.
