Seth Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 Caught 25 crappie from 4-5:30 New Years Eve after the storms blew through. It was nice not having to be bundled up to go out fishing. Fish were 5' deep in 13 foot of water near brush. Caught fish on all colored jigs, but black/chart on a 1/16oz head was probably the overall best by just a bit. I started out bass fishing with a white/chart crankbait, but it was slow.
Drbucketmouth57 Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 Did you fish up at the Loch at all ????
Seth Posted January 6, 2011 Author Posted January 6, 2011 No I didn't. I'm going to fish up there again this weekend and I may run up there and see what it's like. The water is the lowest I've ever seen it in the past few years.

Seth Posted January 11, 2011 Author Posted January 11, 2011 Well the water was really murky and shut the crappie down. I marked a ton of shad at the mouth of the Maries and I might go back with the cattin gear and try some cut shad there. Ive seen some nice blues swimming below the shad in the past when they were thick.
