SilverMallard Posted July 23, 2006 Posted July 23, 2006 Fly-fishing from the roof of a duck is a hoot! Members Leitsout Posted September 6, 2006 Members Posted September 6, 2006 Witnessed at least three or four ducks on the water over labor day weekend. I think they are putting in and taking out at the ramp by Scotty's. Man that ramp was packed this weekend. Also a few skiers and tubers down by the Landing. Also witnessed Mo. State Water Patrol on the water this weekend too. (probably a good thing too) What happened to this place, campground is full, boat ramp has no place to park and boats and ducks all over the place. I might need to start camping at Cooper Creek C.G.
ColdWaterFshr Posted September 6, 2006 Posted September 6, 2006 Sammy Lane used to run pirate cruises all the time on Taney. And there used to be the big 2-story tall paddle boat that took people out. I'm dating myself --this was 25 years ago or more. So the ducks on the Landing isn't exactly a new idea.
Members swinslow Posted September 7, 2006 Members Posted September 7, 2006 The Lake Queen is "docked" in the Roark area. It has been there for a year or 2. Not sure who owns it now, or what they plan to do with it. Heard that it was bought with the intentions on running a "shuttle" from Branson to the casino, but that didn't pan out (at least not yet).
