Night report 7/1-3-5-6/06

Comp are on there way home & with fish.

Fished elbow all night's fishing was pretty good.

45'to 60' range on minnow's & shad, last night every thing on worm,s shot with air.

Comp left w/ 46 crappie & 9 wally's biggest was 271/4" &real nice slab's 14-17 long.

Caught 14 eye's 5 throw back's & about 55 crappie 9 throw back's.

We fried fish on tue & it hit the spot.

Crappie were 12' to 26' deep & eye's were more or less 30' to bottom.

Man it's been a long but very fun week.

Thanks for the report Stone, I tried but didn't do any good. Put in at K dock and went down about a mile and fished main lake channel drops. Fished jigs and crawlers caught 5 crappie 3 kept 1 small channel 1 big bluegill and had on way too many gar. Fish were all about 20' deep. Trolled for awhile and only had on some gar did you know they can puncture crankbaits.

May be we have to go down further in the lake... I've had several people tell me they haven't done any good in MO. Elbow is in Ark. We may have to venture down there one night Vince.

Sounds good we many have to wait for the moon to darken.

vince , I havent been to k dock for 3 weeks,any fish surfacing late in evening or early in am. also did you try deep channel along pole beds by boat dock itself?gosh i got to get out but kids, church, work, yard, branson landing , i cant get away.oh and honey doooos

Crappieman I was out in the wide open area down from trigger didn't fish pole timber. No surface activie other than gar. Went out to the middle and found the river channel and fished the dropps.

I fish full moon or dark dosen't much matter to me.

Never did any good in that area,until i moved down toward's mincy cove & bee creek island.

It really start's to get a lot better from a.b.fine hard to put in there,all the way down.

The part of elbow i fish most is on the MO side.

If your down that way on a fri or sat night look for a 16' yellow straum boat w/a 50 hp merc,stop & say hi.

I haven't had any problems drawing fish in w/ full moon,i usally drop an extra

light in & that work's for me.
