Beautiful fish. Thanks for sharing the photos and story.

i respectfully disagree. I fish and I post. I fish Blue Springs because it is the closest. But...don't worry, I'll be expanding my horizons once spring arrives. I will get the trailer out for weekends which expands my radius. One day I hope to fish every blue stream in the state.

Most fisherman I know don't like to fish water where the average hole/chute is 4 foot by 6 foot, holes are covered in all kinds of thickets, the average fish is five inches or less, the average distance between holes is 50 to 100 yards, holes will shut down at the least little shadow, and one can go down the road a little to Little Piney and/or Mermac. If you read the reports, this is the first time I've caught more than a few fish. I'm not worried about it being overrun by a swarm of fisherman.

I wouldn't worry about it either. It would be an entirely different animal if it was a stream that wasn't listed in the MDC Reg books... And if it wasn't generally well-known among Missouri trout fisherman already. But it is-it's been mentioned in at least two books about trout fishing in Missouri. And quite a few online articles too, a couple of which I am not in the least ashamed to say are mine. And the stream continues to hold up very well, with no signs of any sort of decline-in fact the MDC says the trout population is increasing.

However, I would say that giving directions to the exact hole where you hooked into or caught a nice fish is not a good idea. There is such a thing as too specific.
