vonreed
For those who don't know yet. The white bass are up to Longs Camp and to McCord Bend. Maybe even farther up the Blunks. I've yet to get a limit but have seen others catching quite a few at Longs Camp. Fishing off the bank too. Also caught some short crappie around too. Seth
Reading this is going to hurt my work productivity this week. I'll day dreaming about catching whites down there when I should be focusing on work.

Wheatenheimer
How will the rising water coming from the James effect the fishing? I just noticed that it is at 3290cfs and rapidly rising.
vonreed
i seen the river earlier and its muddy and almost out of the banks. I'd say it's done til the water clears up.
Seth
The snagging usually benefits when the water comes up like this. The spoonbill started running up the James by the second weekend. They were stacked up thick by Galena and people were hammering them from the banks.
